About Dave Griggs' Flooring America

Thank you for visiting our store or our web store! Our company was founded by Dave and Nancy Griggs early in 1975. At that time Dave and Nancy purchased the Hillcrest Dairy building on the Business Loop and began the remodeling project that would change the way Columbians purchased their flooring.

As the business grew, Dave had many opportunities to get involved in the community. As you may know, he did just that. Dave has served on numerous boards and commissions for years. Helping Columbia grow is as much a part of Dave as growing his business. Dave has served on the Boone County Commission; he’s Past president of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and former Chairman of Regional Economic Development. He is a member of the Board of Directors of First National Bank and Trust as well as the Boone County Fire Protection District and was awarded the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award in 2004.

“A tribute to the company is the quality of our associates” says Dave. Our company has grown to more than 23 full time employees and on average 15 installation crew members. Our company associates have more than 243 years of combined floor covering sales and installation experience. We are very proud of our people and the quality products we sell and install. Another tribute to the company is the fact that many of our associates are long-term employees. For a small business like this to have employees with more than 21 years of service is extraordinary.
